In cases such as these, especially second offenses, York County has
allowed some defendants to serve part of their mandatory sentence on
house arrest. Also, with the prison sentences that are required,
options such as outmate (commonly known as "work release") is also an
important consideration. You may also have questions about unemployment
or disability payments during the period that you are incarcerated.
In addition, if this is your first offense in the last ten years, you may want to consider ARD as an alternative to a standard sentence. You would be able to avoid jail time as well as receive a significantly shorter license suspension.
To learn about the best option for your circumstances, you should call attorney Joseph N. Gothie, Esq.,
at (717) 848-8455 to set up a free,
confidential, no-risk consultation to discuss your case, possible sentences, possible defenses, and other DUI issues.
